More space rock to make you smile!
Inhexafonic Sound is the second album by space rockers JBRI. Stylistically it follows the JBRI album - largely instrumental, with some vocalisations and mad elements. Bassist Jon Bastable and guitarist Robert Illesh are pleased to welcome fabulous drummer Gary Wilson. As ever, William D Drake is there, doing his unexpected stuff!
There are five new original tracks; two longer pieces followed by a concept trilogy – it’s prog, what more would you expect? Social commentary, the history of ages, all bound with strange but excellent musicality and some seriously weird things; of course. And with the same kind of humour observed on the JBRI album.
We are very pleased to have William D Drake guest again on this new album.

Space rock to make you smile!
The 2024 JBRI album is an exploration of space rock meets art rock meets jazz rock. Largely instrumental with some vocalisations and ambiences, the album showcases the immense talents and experience of internationally acclaimed musicians, bassist Jon Bastable and guitarist Robert Illesh - in composition, performance and production.
There are 10 new original tracks, including a mini-suite trilogy delving into the dark night of the soul. The mood of the album is best described as 'weird'. Although the songs are offered in the best possible humour, the subject material is not afraid to delve into the darker side of life and be left unresolved, much like some of the weird musicality throughout.
We hope you enjoy the JBRI music journey!
We are very pleased to have William D Drake guest on the album, thanks to lifelong friendship and collaboration. Also James Larcombe, along with performances by our Fragile and Aquaplanage compatriots Steve Carney and Mitch Harwood. JB & RI
